Instead of lifeguarding or scooping ice cream, Icelandic budget airline WOW Airwants a summer employee who is willing to travel the world.

WOW Air will hire a “travel guide” to move to Iceland for three months and travel while creating videos for the airline. In addition, the travel guide will get to bring a friend to accompany them on their summer journey.

From June 1 to August 15, the winning pair will be based in an apartment in downtown Reykjavik and travel around the world to WOW Air destinations to create a digital travel guide.

Over the course of the 10-week job, travel guides will take eight trips to WOW Air international destinations and four domestic trips through Iceland. Each trip will last between two and four days. The role comes with a salary of about $4,000 per month plus transportation and travel and living expenses.

Once they’ve arrived in the destinations, travel guides will create vlogs and content for Instagram stories, assessing each city’s food, nightlife, activities, hospitality, and affordability. At the end of the journey, the winners will have to create a “complete digital travel guide to the destinations,” according to the job listing.

Wow Air flies to 38 destinations throughout the United States and Europe, including New York, Amsterdam, and the Canary Islands.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a Facebook account. Interested applicants need to create and upload a two-minute sample video of a guide to their hometown. WOW Air will accept applications through May 14.
